ZIGROLLING Cie

Our company was founded in 1989 and since then we have presented a variety of short performances related to dance and acrobatics. The base of these performances and of our inspiration is an approach to large geometrical constructions such as the “Zig”, the “Cubes” and more recently, the “Tricube”.

In 1990, we launched our first construction, the “Zig”, and we developed its possibilities for our performances. In 1992, Philippe Decouflé accredited our genius by inviting us to participate to his performance for the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Albertville (France).

Moreover, we organized several workshops related to the practice of the “Zig” and we participated to several shows such as the Parades of the “Biennale de la Danse” of Lyon and the Theatre Festival of the Rue d’Aurillac. Zig’s success made us travel to Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Morocco, Lebanon, India, USA etc. Nevertheless, after thorough researches around the possibilities of the “Zig” and the creation of the “aquatic Zig” in 2001 we found a new object: the Cube. The exploitation of this object through our performances led us to the development of 8 choreographies that we presented in 2003 at the first “Festival of Agadir” in Morocco.

In 2005, our artistic research was developed around a five metres high structure called the “Tricube”.

All of our choreographic structures are copyrighted.
